Elect Melissa Breazeale Love for Lamar County Chancery Clerk – There is not one perfect person for this honored position, just someone that may do just a little more than the next person or do things just a little differently. Although the shoes, of the fantastic people that held this position prior, cannot be filled, they did lay out the groundwork for me to be able to learn, as they did, and follow in their footsteps. We need to learn the past, embrace the present, and prepare for the future. I am the person you can elect to serve our county proudly and compassionately and with a positive influence daily.
Born and raised the youngest daughter of a Southern Baptist preacher (Rev. Johnny Harold Breazeale) in small town Purvis, I have been blessed beyond measure by the abundance of people I have come to know and love over the years. While being from one of the fastest growing counties in the State of Mississippi, I will be honored to be your next Chancery Clerk for Lamar County. With that, I highly depend on the support of all my family and friends that have known me throughout the years, as well as the support from my new fellow citizens and friends of this great county we all call home. While I will not be able to fill the shoes of the great people before me that have filled this honored position in prior years, I will be more than proud to walk along side of them and follow in their footsteps to continue to learn the duties and responsibilities that work with the consistency and accuracy of keeping our Lamar County Chancery system in daily compliance, as they, also, learned to do. I look forward to working with the people already in office and the elected officials in maintaining the compassion and professionalism it will take to keep moving Lamar County forward.
Coming from a background with more than 15 years in the real estate title abstracting and research profession, while covering multiple counties in the state, I have the knowledge needed and the enthusiasm to learn more in keeping records accurate and updated with some of the biggest investments in Lamar County citizens' history. With more than 10 years of combined experience in pipeline easements, mortgage loan closings, and real estate transactions, I, also, understand the importance of taking care of the biggest parts of history for Lamar County that must last for generations to come.
I highly value opinions and feedback from my fellow neighbors in Lamar County, while maintaining a Christian background and values with compassion and love for each and every one I encounter and meet along the way throughout this adventure. I look forward to making you proud to call me your Chancery Clerk when elected on August 6, 2019. Thank you in advance for your support and vote when you remember me at the polls.
